Now the children can get the vaccine doses against COVID 19
Delhi: A panel of experts of the central drug authority of India has recommended to use Covaxin of Bharat Biotech for children from 2 years and above with certain conditions.
The Hyderabad-based company after two to three phases of the trials of Covaxin ti be used among children from 2 years and above submitted its report before Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation for verification and approval which was examined and approved for restricted use among the target age group in emergency situations subject to the certain conditions.
The recommendations have been forwarded to the Drugs Controller General of India for final approval.
Apart from further continuing the study
as per the approved clinical trial protocol, the firm , as per the condition has to submit safety data with due analysis, every 15 days for the first two months and monthly thereafter. It will have to further submit data as per requirement of New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019.
