Patna: Perturbed at the demise of Biharis in the Nainital landslide of Uttrakhand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh each to the kith of those killed in the tragedy occurred due to heavy downpour.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that Rs 2 lakh compensation to the bereaved families would be given from the CM relief fund and the labour resources department and social welfare department have been instructed to provide the other benefits admissible under the laid rules .
He said that the government has made arrangements to carry the mortal remains of the deceased to their native places within the state .
