Agra: Exasperated with the pro Pakistan slogans vented by a section of jubilant students of Raja Balwant Singh Engineering Technical campus Bichpoori, overwhelmed at the victory of Pakistan during T 20 World cup match between India and Pakistan , various organisations afgiliated with the RSS demanded lodging of treason case against such students.
While talking to The Vibrant News, the convenor of Braj region of Bajrang Dal Rakesh Tyagi threatened to stage demonstration outside the college gate in case the administration failed to register treason case against the students shouting Pro Pakistan slogans following Pakistans victory and defeat of India in the match.
Accompanied by Deepak Agrawal VHP Agra town president, Dharmendra Verma VHP Agra town General Secretary, Anoop Verma Bajrang Dal Agra town Convenor, Deepak Verma, Rajpal Yadav and Vinod Sharma Mr Tyagi handed over a memorandum to the the police superintendent on wednesday in this connection and made the demands.
Case lodged under cognizable acts
The CO of Loha Mandi Saurabh Singh informed that case was lodged against the Kashmiri students under various sections of IPC including 153 (A) instigating differences and rivalry between various groups, 505 (1) (B) intention for creating fear in common public and under information and technology act 66( F).
Meanwhile after the incident the college administration suspended some of the Kashmiri students who were pursuing their education under Prime Minister special scholarship scheme. Alogether 11 Kashmiri students including those who have been suspended were enrolled under the scheme in the institution .
It may be recalled that following defeat of India and victory of Pakistan in T20 world cup match played between both , the Kashmiri students pursuing education in the said institution created noise in the hostel.
The students namely Arshad Usafe, Inayat Altaf Shaikh, Shaukat Ahmed Ganai of the college had created unprecedented noise in the hostel which the hostel incharge ignored initially.
However when some objectionable posts were uploaded on social media platform, the action was initiated against them under in disciplinary Act.
Considering Pro Pakistan posts made by the students as indisciplinary Act, the disciplinary committee decided to suspend them with immediate effect following recommendations of the dean of the hostel Dushyant Singh.
In the meantime the youth wing of BJP, Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal also lodged FIR against Kashmiri students at Jagdishpura police station which was under investigation .
