70 acres land in reserve for Nalanda International University 



Patna: Elated with his dream project for establishing Nalanda International University to revive its past glory of ancient era becoming true,
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assured to provide all required facilities the state government can do including better connectivity in Rajgir and Nalanda.

While talking to the news persons after Janata Darbar on Monday, Mr Kumar said that his government was particularly sensitive towards the requirements of the International university of the international guests and ensured to provide all required facilities in Rajgir to facilitate easy accessibility and comforts.

He said that international delegates visit
there due to its historical importance and also for its prominence after Nalanda International University was established. Road connectivity of Rajgir from Patna and Bodh Gaya had been improved and it would be further reinforced, he added.

For providing better health services to the visitors including that of foreign origine after setting up of Nalanda International University he said that  Medical College Hospital had been established in Pawapuri . It would help in getting quality treatment to those coming to
Rajgir particularly from abroad, he added.

Mr Kumar said that water of Holy 
river Ganga would be taken through pipeline
for its supply in Rajgir. To get facility of Ganga water for usage would be wonderful experience for those visiting Rajgir, he noted.

Chief Minister said that new road was under construction for connecting Patna and Rajgir which would reduce its distance to 80 KMs. 

He informed that 70 acres land was kept in  reserve for Nalanda International University which would be handed to it after its construction was complete. The University can use the land according to its own requirements and get its benefit. The land could be used by Nalanda University to augment its income, he added.


Mr Kumar said that he would soon visit Rajgir
for a meeting with vice chancellor and other officials of the university to explore what more could be done by the state government to help the University. Process for appointment of professors of the University was as per its norms, he informed.
