Passengers Services would be given priority: PCCM Kapil

Tundla: The Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) , of North Central Railways (NCR) Shailendra Kapil said that in addition to improve passenger service, he would strive to enhance revenue of the railways.

After assuming charges of the PCM, Mr Kapil, a flamboyant officer of the year 1987 batch of the Indian Railway Transport Service, said that apart from passengers amenities and revenue enhancement, he would accord priority for better convenience to loading customers.

Mr Kapil who has replaced the outgoing Principal Chief Commercial Manager M N Ojha, has worked as the first Chief Claims Officer (CCO) of the zone at North Central Railway Headquarters itself.

With his vast experience of working in the Operational, Safety and Commerce Departments and General Administration including Vigilance in Railways, Mr Kapil earned his name while working as Principal Chief Safety Officer, East Coast Railway Bhubaneswar and ADRM Dhanbad Division at Barkakana located in Coalfields.

Popular as an upright officer, Mr Kapil served the NCR division in various capacities as Senior Divisional Operations Manager / Prayagraj Division, Senior Divisional Safety Officer / Prayagraj Division, Chief Freight Traffic Manager, Chief Passenger Transport Manager, Chief Traffic Planning Manager, Chief Commercial Manager PM and Chief Commercial Manager / Freight Marketing etc.

In RDSO, he made special contributions to research on ASM and ALP/LPs psycho tests and working as Dean in IRTM (Indian Railway Traffic Service Officers Training Institute) to provide training to young IRTS officers at accident sites.
