Moscow, Sep 20 (TVN) In a horrifying incident ,a gunman opened fire in a university in the Russian city of Perm on Monday morning and killed at least eight people leaving many others injured.

According to Russias investigative committees spokeswoman, Svetlana Petrenko the wounded people were rushed for treatment.

The Perm State University press service informed that the gun used by the shooters were
designed to fire non-lethal rubber or plastic projectiles, however it can be modified to fire other ammunition.

The gunman has been detained, the Interior Ministry said.
