India to host the G20 summit next year


NewDelhi: For the forthcoming India’s G20 Presidency, the External Affairs Ministry had announced the launch of a logo-design contest.

Through his tweet, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, requested the participants to share their ideas with the ministry representing a uniquely Indian G20. The last date for the entries for the logo competition is June 7.

 Meanwhile Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorting the youth to participate in the competition in his tweet on Saturday said  “A special competition that celebrates the creativity of our youth. “Do take part in this contest!”

The External Affairs Minister  S Jaishankar also exhorted the people through his tweet saying “Associate yourself with India’s G20 presidency".

India is all set to take on the mantle of G20 President from Indonesia to host the summit next year. Indonesia will be handing over the mantle of G20 President to India during the summit to be held later this year.
