New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar who has refused to become candidate for presidential election even after unanimous support of the opposition parties, could agree if NDA supports him, leading to his emergence as a consensus candidate.

Sharing details of the oppositions meeting held in New Delhi on Wednesday regarding presidential election , NCP Bihar state Vice President and spokesman Navin Kumar Singh told The Vibrant News that Sharad Pawar was not in favour of holding election for the post of President.

Claiming the number to be in favour oppositions candidate, he said that ideologically Sharad Pawar was against the election for the post and wished the President to be elected unanimously in view of its dignity.

Now the ball is in the NDAs court, said Mr Singh adding that its decision for unanimous support to Sharad Pawar as presidential candidate would add to the prestige of the Nation.

According to Mr Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sharad Pawar both maintained cozy political relations and if  NDA supports the NCP Supremo for the Presidential run, Modi and Pawar together  can unleash a new era setting new presidence.
