Lucknow : Sunil Bansal, BJP Organisational General Secretary in Uttar Pradesh ( UP) who played a pivotal role in establishing the party in UP, in all likelihood would now be strengthening the party in Telangana.

According to sources close to the party said that a admiring his contributions and constructive role towards BJP, the party has learnt to have entrusted him a larger role with vast dimension of strengthening the organisation in Telangana.

Bansal, who was made in charge of the Saffron Brigade in UP in the year 2014 during Lok Sabha elections, played important role in the political circle. Bansal strived for the party and by the virtue of his hard work as well as dedication the party fetched 73 Lok Sabha seats out of 80 in UP.

His hard work had elevated him to the post of Sangathan Mantri ( Organisational Secretary) of the party. His sincere efforts played important role in getting majority during UP Assembly Elections in 2017 and 2022. Apart from this, the BJP during Bansals regime got giant victory in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh held in  2019. His inclusion in the Central politics of BJP was doing rounds in the political corners however the party decided to send him to Telangana and conferred a major responsibility upon him for strengthening the party in the state.

The sources informed that the party is also looking forward for a suitable leader whom it can confer upon the responsibility of Uttar Pradesh organisational structure of the BJP. The party is likely to finalise the name shortly. The names of the possible leaders in the race for the post were being discussed in the ongoing three day BJP workshop in Chitrakoot, the party insider said.
