Ghaziabad and Mahoba get 3-star rank, reveals latest survey report released by Government of India


Districts of UP get three star for the first time in the surveys history


Lucknow:  By getting three star category for its achievements in Jal Jeevan Mission, Ghaziabad and Mahoba districts of Uttar Pradesh has added a feather in the cap of the state government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The achievement under Jal Jeevan Mission is a milestone for the Yogi Adityanath government. 

In the survey report of the Union government released on Tuesday both Ghaziabad and Mahoba have been accorded three star category in the Jal Jeevan Mission.

With this accomplishment, Uttar Pradesh now joins a select group of states in the nation where a significant number of districts have consistently ranked in the top five in the survey from October to December.

‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ has made significant progress in Uttar Pradesh, with the percentage of rural families with access to tap water surpassing 25 percent on Saturday itself. 

UP districts are included in various categories

Ghaziabad has joined the achievers category by becoming one of the best performing districts, according to the latest figures quoted by the survey from January 3, indicating the progress of Uttar Pradeshs Har Ghar Jal Yojana. 

Along with this, Shahjahanpur, Jhansi, and Chitrakoot are included in the category of ‘two star performers whereas Kasganj, Fatehpur and Shravasti figure in the aspirants category.

Mahoba, one of the fast-growing district, has earned a three-star rating, placing it in the category of ‘achievers.’

In addition, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, and Jalaun are rated in the two star category. Kasganj and Amroha are included in the aspirant category with one star rating.


Better performance in December as well


According to data for the month of December, the districts of Uttar Pradesh had performed well while fulfilling various parameters. Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr received a rating of two stars, placing them among the best performing districts while Shahjahanpur, Bareilly and Jhansi fell in the aspirants category with one star. 

Among the fast moving districts, Lalitpur, Mirzapur and Hamirpur bagged two star rating whereas Banda and Jhansi were included in the aspirants category with one star rating.


Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Jhansi and Chitrakoot continuously performing better


Shahjahanpur, Bulandshahr, and Bareilly were among the best performing districts of UP in the month of October in the Jal Jeevan Mission survey. Not only this, the fastest growing districts also included Shahjahanpur, Mirzapur and Bulandshahr. 

Similarly, in the month of November, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly and Chitrakoot were included in the Aspirants category and Mahoba in the performing districts. Among the fast moving districts, Chitrakoot and Jhansi were ranked in the Aspirants category while Mahoba and Mirzapur were put in the Performers category.
