New Delhi: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) National President Sharad Pawar appointed party vice president Praful Patel MP and Supriya Sule MP as working president of the party on Saturday.

the NCP National President Sharad Pawar made this announcement during the  25th foundation day ceremony of the party observed in New Delhi during the day.

Before declaring the names of the new working presidents Mr Pawar hoisted the party flag in a grand function organised at the party headquarters in New Delhi to mark the event.

Ms Sule, daughter of Mr Pawar has been given the responsibilities of Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra whereas Praful Patel will be looking after the party affairs in Goa, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

Last month Sharad Pawar had announced to relinquish his post but considering the  feelings of the emotional party workers he had taken back his decision. The party executive committee had authorised Mr Pawar to take a final call on the issue.

The NCP chief had put down his papers with an intention to do more in the fields of education, agriculture, cooperation, sports and culture, amongst others and also pay attention to issues related to the youth, students, workers, Dalits, tribals and other weaker sections of the society.
