New Delhi: In a major development, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Supremo Sharad Pawar, with an eye on the 2024 Lok Sabha election as well as the Assembly elections to be held in some of the states, delegated the assignments and entrusted various responsibilities to the office bearers of the party.
NCP National Media Coordinator Prof. Navin Kumar said here on Saturday that the party National President Sharad Pawar meticulously distributed the responsibilities soon after the 25th foundation day function of the party.
Welcoming the decision of the party National President Sharad Pawar, Prof. Kumar said each and every person of the team are seasoned leaders who can efficiently execute the missions and targets fixed by the party chief .
Outlining the details of the work allotment done by the party national president, Prof. Kumar said that Mr Praful Patel, MP has been entrusted with the responsibilities of party affairs in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Rajasthan Jharkhand Goa and Rajya Sabha his also Chairman Economic Affairs.
Supriya Sule, MP would be looking after the party affairs of Maharashtra, Haryana along with other activities related to Punjabi Women, Youth, Students and Lok Sabha Chairman, Central Election Authority.
Similarly Sunil Tatkare, MP and National General Secretary will be in-charge of Odisha and West Bengal, National Committee Sessions and Conferences, Election Commission, Minority Department and Kisan Cell.
Dr. Yoganand Shastri,National General Secretary has been entrusted with the responsibilities of Organisations, Seva Dal and President, Delhi State NCP.
K K Sharma, National General Secretary will look after the NCP affairs in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh as well as Panchayati Raj Department.
P P Mohd. Faizal, MP National General Secretary has got responsibilities of the party in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Kerala, Overseas, India Department and Foreign Affairs Department.
Narendra Verma National General Secretary will look into all North Eastern States, Media and IT Department.
Jitendra Awhad, MLA National General Secretary has been entrusted to look into partys affairs in Biha, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka along with Labour Department, SC/ST/OBC Department, Cooperative Department and Consumer Affairs Department.
He said that the Permanent Secretary S.R Kohi carries the major responsibilities and will be taking care of Press, Publicity, Administration, Coordination with Office Bearers and States. He will also assist Praful Patel and Supriya Sule in the states and the Treasurer in accounts and coordination with the Election Commission.
Prof Kumar said that the NCP chief, Mr Pawar in the letter allocating responsibilities has directed all General Secretaries to consult the National Vice President for major policy decisions and keep informed of various activities on a regular basis.
