Mumbai: Nearly 39 women inmates including Indrani Mukherjee, accused of Sheena Vora murder case and 6 children were detected positive for COIVD-19 at the Bycullah prison in Maharashtra.
According to BMC officials following complains of severe fever among several inmates in the Byculla jail tests were conducted and 39 inmates were tested positive for corona virus infection.
Out of the total infected persons 36 were shifted to the COVID Centre at the Patanwala school where their condition wad stated to be stable. An inmate who was on family way was admitted to G T hospital for special care.
Meanwhile, the state has recorded 3276 new COVID-19 cases and 58 deaths on Saturday.
