Dubai: First play-off of Indian Premier League (IPL) match was slated at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, United Arab Emirates (UAE) at 7:30 PM IST between CSK and DC. As the match began CSK won the toss and opted to bat.
Prithvi shaw (60 runs) of DC began his innings with three streaky boundaries and had a partnership of 36 runs with Shikhar Dhawan (7 runs). Skipper Rishav Pant (51* runs) and Shimron Hetmyer (37 runs) put 83 runs for the fifth wicket. DC scored a total of 172 runs on 5 wickets in 20 overs.
While chasing the target of 173 runs CSK batsman Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni scored 63, 16 and 18* runs respectively. Tom Curran took three crucial wickets for DC.
The man of the match award was given to Rituraj Gaikwad for his majestic performance innings of 70 runs in 50 balls.
