New Delhi (TVN) The Nationalist Congress Party ( NCP) has entrusted its Senior leader and Vice President of its Bihar unit Navin Kumar with the responsibilities of strengthening and expanding the organisation in Uttar Pradesh in view of the assembly elections slated for next year .

NCP National General Secretary K. K. Sharma, 
exuding confidence in Mr Kumar handed him a letter authorising him to work in UP for expanding the party. Mr Kumar is supposed to 
work in tandem with the state president of the NCP in UP.
Expressing his gratitude towards the top leaderships of the NCP for showing confidence in him, Mr Kumar said that he would be camping in UP for which he would soon visit the state.

 Being a large state especially in terms of assembly seats  UP was politically active , he said adding that the people were frustrated with the BJP rule and want to get rid of it.

 Mr Kumar said that the NCP would try its best to live up to the expectations of the people.
