Dubai: In the second warm-up match of team India for T20 World Cup 2021, held in ICC Academy Ground, Dubai, Team India defeated Australian team by 9 wickets.
After winning the toss Australia opted to bat.
Australian team had a awful start as they lost their couple of wickets at 6 runs in the second over and the third on 11 runs. Steve Smith (57) and Glenn Maxwell (37) had a adequate partnership of 61 runs. Marcus Stoinis (41) and Mathew Wade (4) were not out and put a total of 152 runs on 5 wickets. Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets by giving 8 runs in 2 overs.
In chase of 153 runs team India had a great start as the opening pair scored 68 runs for the first wicket. KL Rahul was dismissed by Ashton Agar on 39 runs in 31 balls.
Rohit Sharma was retired out after scoring 60 runs in 41 balls leaving Suryakumar Yadav (38) and Hardik Pandya (14) to apply the finishing touch to the match. Hardik Pandya finished the match with a big six.
