Dubai: The Indian team defeated the Scotlands by 8 wickets in the fourth  T20 World Cup 2021 match held at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. 

Scotland had an unpleasant start as they lost their first wicket on 13 runs and 2nd wicket on 27 runs. George Munsey (24), Kyle Coetzer (01), Calum MacLeod (16) and Michael Leask (21) contributed to a total of 85 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami took  3 wickets each.

In chase of 86 runs, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul got the best start as they brought up the fastest team fifty to take the team to 53/0 after 4 overs. Rohit Sharma was dismissed on 30 runs after which KL Rahul completed his Fifty in 18 balls and was dismissed on the next ball by Bradley Wheal. 

Virat Kohli (2) and Suryakumar Yadav (6) were not out. Suryakumar Yadav finishes off the run chase in style by hitting a big six off Chris Greaves. India chased down the 86-run target in just 6.3 overs with 8 wickets in hand. 

Ravindra jadeja was awarded as the man of the match for his dazzling performance.
