Fatehpur: The district Administration has assured the Fatehpur forum to facilitate setting up of an Army recruitment centre in the district, for revival of  water bodies, and to incorporate  places of historical importance in the tourism sector.

The District Magistrate Apoorva  Dubey assured the visiting delegation of the forum led by the Assistance Engineer of Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi Rajiv Tiwari, Indra Prastha University Registrar Shailendra Parihar and forum President Rt. IPS Pradeep Srivastava to seriously ponder over their demands made for an overall development of the district.

Taking serious note of the charter of demands of the forum, the DM assured to extend all possible administrative help to fulfill them.

Concerned with the condition of the water bodies the DM promised the visiting delegates to send a project report to the Director General of Namami Gange mission within a month for revival of the water bodies of the district.

To promote tourism she assured to make available the resources after holding a meeting at the earliest.

Mr Rajiv Tiwari, requested the DM to set up an army recruitment centre in Fatehpur whereas Mr Parihar suggested for revival of rivers and lakes and Mr Srivastava urged for promoting tourism in Ganga at Bhrigu Dham.

Earlier the Fatehpur forum in collaboration with Fatehpur Vichar Manch organised the 14th felicitation programme at Oum Ghat Bhitaura in Bhrigu Tapovan on the bank of Uttar Vahini Ganga (Ganga flowing North wards) in which 33 poets and 16 amateurs of various fields were felicitated.

Swami Vigyananand Saraswati who is continuously striving for conservation of Ganga and other rivers in the district, exhorted the forum members to contribute and co-operate in writing new scriptures of development of the district.

Referring to various Memorial of the district he said that majority of them were neglected and mentioned that no Memorial related to Sage Bhrighu had so far been made and appealed to the forum members to come forward to make some memorable Memorial as a symbolic identity of the district.

Elaborating the efforts of the Forum, its president Pradeep Srivastava said that revival of Sasur kharedi river was a major achievement of the forum.

Mr Daya Shankar Pandey who is continuously striving for conservation of water, introduced various schemes of which plantation on the weir
appeared to be the most inspiring.

Social worker Rajendra Sahu, State president of Save Ganga Committee Shailendra Sharan Simple ,Yogesh Tripathi additional PS of  Union Minister Ramdas Athawale and Lakshman Award winner Ravikant Mishra graced the event with their presence.

On the occasion the forum decided to organise special camps to promote youth for joining Army and strategies for conducting physical and written examination were prepared. Lieutenant colonel Vinod Tripathi in Association with Managing Director of Lakshya Academy R.P. Singh announced to hold 10 day special camp commencing from November 23 at Bindki.

The forum, during the event honoured the parents of of martyr  Rajesh Singh of the district.
While honouring Mr Chhote Lal and Kamla Devi, parents of the martyr Rajesh Singh it was decided to construct a Shaurya Stambh ( pillar)  and handover it to the district. Renovation of the Martyrs Memorial located at Sainik Welfare Board office campus was also decided by the forum members.

The forum also lauded the efforts of Mr Rajiv Tiwari for conservation of Dolphin and renovation of rivers and lakes in collaboration with Namami Gange .

During the event principal commissioner, Income Tax Jayant Mishra announced scholarship in the name of his father Late professor Pramod Chandra Mishra Foundation and honoured Himanshi Vishwakarma who stood fifth in the state and first in the district in class 10th and Abhay Maurya who scored highest marks in class 10th in GIC Fatehpur by presenting them medal and cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.
