Trains will now pass from Sakateshgarh station @ 100 km / h



Tundla: With the installation of centralized new electronic interlocking with hot standby at Sakateshgarh station of Chopan-Chunar railway, the speed of the trains on this section would increase to @ 100 Km per hour facilitating the punctuality of the plying of trains.


Appreciating the efforts of the Railway officials, General Manager, North Central Railways (NCR) Pramod Kumar said that the centralized new electronic interlocking system has been installed successfully which in addition to increasing the speed of trains would also help in maintaining the schedule.



Interlocking brings changes


At Sakteshgarh station, the button panel has been replaced with a visual display unit panel. A 43-inch Double Visual Display Unit has been installed for better visibility and hot standby system has been installed to prevent interruption of operations in case of panel failure. As per the technology, the second visual display unit installed in the hot stand will start functioning automatically in case of any technical snag in the system preventing delay in the plying of trains. A total of 11 point machines, 14 main signals, 4 shunt signals and double distance signals are connected through centralized electronic interlocking.



The speed ​​of trains will now be 100 km / h: Neeraj



Chief Signal Engineer Mr. Neeraj Yadav informed that with the completion of the work, the maximum speed limit of trains will be increased from 50 km per hour to 100 km per hour in Sakteshgarh to Churk section, along with punctuality. The new system will also improve the safety.


The achievement possible under the efficient direction of the team



The work was completed in a time bound manner under the efficient guidance of General Manager, NCR Pramod Kumar, Principal Chief Signal and Telecom Engineer Arun Kumar and Divisional Railway Manager, Prayagraj Division Mohit Chandra. The team engaged in the task included the Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer/Project-II. DP. Garg, Deputy Md. C. and away. Engg./Prof-II/Prayagraj Rahul Singh, Sr. Circle Sig. and away. Engg./Sig./Prayagraj Circle Dilip Rajput and Sr. Divisional Engg./ Prayagraj Mandal Shri Rajesh. 



GM terms interlocking, an important achievement



GM NCR Pramod Kumar termed the installation of electronic interlocking at Khairahi, Sonbhadra, Lusa stations this financial year and at Sakteshgarh station as an important achievement of railway management and said  that the Railway officials deserve appreciation for their efforts. Congratulating the Railway officials, he said that Churk railway station will also be connected with state-of-the-art signaling system, electronic interlocking system by March.
