Fix expansion targets in Bihar to increase its reach both numerically and ideologically
Patna: Rashtriya Swyam Sevak Sangh ( RSS), slated to observe its centenary year in 2025 has fixed targets for expanding its base both numerically and ideologically in Bihar with an aim to increase its reach to the people.
In the light of the recently concluded meet of Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), the top decision-making body of the RSS, in Karnavati of Gujrat, RSS Bihar Jharkhand Prachar Pramukh Rajesh Pandey and Prant Sanghchalak of South Bihar Rajkumar Sinha told new persons here on Wednesday that centenary celebration targets have been fixed for Bihar and in the next two years the Sangh would be expanded in all 534 mandals (divisions).
They further said that the existing base would be expanded in all divisions to mark the centenary year of the Sangh and for this 551 short term expansion plans have also been chalked put for Bihar.
They informed that as of now 1733 shakhas( branches) were organised at 1198 places in Bihar. Apart from this interactions at 639 places and divisional interactions at 159 places take place every week.
They elaborated that 700 Shakhas ( branches) were operated for the first time at 438 places in South Bihar and 1033 shakhas at 760 places in North Bihar
It has been decided to increase the number of shakhas to 1000 in the next two years in South Bihar.
Speaking about society oriented other services of the Sangh, they said that in 641 Basties (wards in the towns ) the Sang has taken up various activities for oppressed classes.
In 80 such wards, self reliant activities including educational and moral upliftment were going on in Bihar.
By the centenary year, it has been decided to take up services in 641 wards, they informed.
Referring to the decisions taken in the meeting they said that RSS plans to double its base by 2025, when it celebrates its centenary year and was executing its special three-year expansion plan prepared in 2021 .
Speaking details of the expansion they said that it will be both in terms of geographies and activities which as of now have reached in 50 per cent of the Sanghs mandals across the country including daily shakhas and weekly meetings.
Citing the decisions taken at Karnavati meet , they said that the Sangh plans to further expand it in the wards of the city and make a model village in every district of the country.
