Triggers speculations about cabinet reshuffle
Patna: Amid politically surcharged atmosphere owing to the announcements of Prashant Kishor, the eminent political strategist for embarking on his padyatra, the Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan air- dashed and called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday night in Patna.
The political splashes due to the Iftar party row had hardly settled down, the sudden visit of Dharmendra Pradhan surprised everyone in the corridors of power and politics.
Pradhan straightaway drove to the residence of the Chief Minister and closeted with Nitish Kumar for several minutes. However, the agenda of the meeting could not be transpired. Even the BJP leaders too were clueless and were tight-lipped.
The mysterious silence on the said visit triggered speculations about cabinet shuffle of the Nitish cabinet.
Meanwhile Some of the ministers from BJP quota were apprehensive about their continuation in the cabinet whereas some were scared of being dropped from the cabinet on the basis of performance. It is also being discussed that some new faces make get chance in the government.
BJP was apparently worried with the results of the recently had Bihar legislative Council elections and its defeat in the by elections of Bochaha Assembly Constituency.
The sudden and surprise visit of Dharmendra Pradhan has again triggered the speculations in the corridors of power.
