Patna: The noted poll strategist Prashant Kishor said it is a fact that even today Bihar is the most backward and most poor state in the country.
Prashant Kishor through his tweet on Friday retorted sharply at the comments of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and said that despite 30 years of Lalu-Nitish rule Bihar still was the most backward and most poor state in the country.
"Only a new vision and efforts can bring change in Bihar which was possible only with the collective efforts of the people" he tweeted.
Earlier Nitish Kumar while reacting to the statements of Prashant Kishor regarding backwardness of Bihar which remained at bottom of all states on various development indices in last 16 years during the regime of so called good governance, Nitish Kumar said that development had taken place in the state in last 16 years and it was for all to see but he did not care who said what. All things were decided on truth and there was no meaning of baseless criticism or allegations, he pointed out.
Prashant Kishore on Thursday had told media persons that Bihar remained at the bottom of all states in various development parameters despite claims of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on providing good governance to state in last 16 years. Bihar lagged behind on development ladder had been exposed in the reports released by NITI Aayog , he had maintained.
