Sahara Shree also gets relief from further proceedings against him



New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the warrant of arrest issued from Patna High Court during the day against Sahara India chief Subrata Roy, popular as Sahara Shree.

The order of the Patna High Court directing the police chief of three states including Bihar, UP and Delhi for executing the arrest warrant was challenged by the counsel of Mr Roy in the Supreme Court.

The Apex court bench of Justice A M Khanwilkar , staying the execution of arrest warrant also stayed further proceedings against him.

The Patna High Court on Friday had issued an arrest warrant against Mr Roy for not appearing before the court in person in connection with the case related to alleged fraudulence by Sahara India which has allegedly not returned the money of hundreds of its investors.
