Patna: The Railway has decided to run special trains in between Patna and Rajgir everyday for convenience of the devotees thronging in Rajgir of Nalanda District for the famous Malmas Mela ( fare).
The plying of special trains would commence from July 19 and would continue till August 18.
Outlining the schedule of the daily special trains, East Central Railways (ECR) Chief Public Relation Officer ( CPRO) Virendra Kumar said that Patna-Rajgir Malmas Mela special train number 03250 would depart from Patna everyday at 10:35 hours and would arrive at Rajgir at 13:40 hours whereas Rajgir-Patna Malamas Mela special train number 03249 would depart from Rajgir at 15:10 hours everyday and would arrive at Patna at 18:40 hours.
Regarding the stoppage of both the trains, he said that the Patna-Rajgir Malmas Mela special train after departing from Patna would stop at Rajendra Nagar at 10.48, Guljarbagh at 10:56 hours, Patna City at 11:05 hours, Banka Ghat at 11:18 hours, Fatuha at 11:25 hours, Khusrupur at 11:35 hours, Karota at 11:44 hours, Tekabigha at 11:51 hours Bakhtiyarpur at 12:01 hours, Harnaut at 12:16 hours, Vena at 12:27 hours, Biharsharif at 12:42 hours, Pawapuri Road at 12:51 hours, Nalanda and 13:00 hours, Silao at 13:13 hours and Rajgir at 13.40 hours.
Similarly train number 03249 Rajgir-Patna Malmas special train after resuming its journey from Rajgir at 15:10 hours will have its stoppage at Silao at 15:18 hours, Nalanda at 15:26 hours, Pawapuri Road at 15:36 hours, Biharsharif at 15:45 hours, Vena at 16:00 hours, Harnaut at 16:09 hours, Bakhtiyarpur at 16:35 hours, Tekabigha at 16:43 hours, Karauta at 16:51 hours, Khusrupur at 17:00 hours, Fatuha at 17:12 hours, Bankaghat at 17:21 hours, Patna City at 17:30 hours, Gulzarbagh at 17:38 hours, Rajendra Nagar at 17:46 hours and Patna at 18:30 hours.
The special Malmas train will have 7 sleeper coaches and 7 general coaches.
